Kushki makes sure your settlement process is done depending on your payment method, cut-off schedule, and stipulated payout frequency.
💡Keep in mind: 1. Cut-off settlements are subject to what the company is currently managing, which was previously established in the commercial agreement. 2. It only applies for the aggregator model. Remember that, in the gateway model, the money is paid directly to your account in real-time. |
When does Kushki deposit the sales amount?
Keep in mind that deposit times depend on your client’s selected payment method, the time when the sale was made (cut-off schedule), if it is a business day (Monday to Friday, take into account that holidays are not included), and if the payout frequency is based on a daily, monthly, or fortnightly basis.
ℹ️ Note: Keep in mind we are committed to disbursing your funds during your payment distribution day. However, due to external reasons, these resources may be reflected on the next business day. |
In the following table, you can check when your funds will be reflected:

What criteria have an impact on my settlement?
Kushki does the settlement calculation according to your income and expenses.
- TPV: Total Payment Value; it stands for the total amount processed. It measures the total sales amount that occurred in a payment platform within a given period. It is calculated as the total sum of the gross income of the payments. This metric is calculated before discounts, refunds, and any expenses.
- Risk funds release: It corresponds to the value of the funds that were withheld and released once the time established by the fraud area had elapsed. Keep in mind that it will depend on your business activity and the payout frequency.
- Tax/levy on movement of funds (known in Spanish as Gravamen a los Movimientos Financieros-GMF): it refers to the tax that must be settled every time a transaction or financial movement is done. The tax amount is calculated over the transaction performed.
- Kushki’s fee: The agreed payment percentage charged for each transaction.
ℹ️ Note: 1. For cash and transfer payments, Kushki’s fee is measured based on the total cost of the transaction. |
- VAT: The Value Added Tax consists on the charge of a certain percentage into the final price determined by the vendor of the product or service. It is calculated based on the base amount (purchases) as a percentage, which is the gross tax.
-
Withholdings for card sales
Withholding at source: Mechanism through which the state gradually seeks to collect certain taxes within the current taxable year. This is calculated over the base transaction amount before taxes.
Industry and Trade Tax (known in Spanish as Reteica): This is the anticipated tax withholding, and it takes place during sales transactions. It is calculated over the base transaction before taxes.
ℹ️ Note: The percentage of the Industry and Trade Tax varies if the merchant is in formal aggregation or gateway model. |
VAT retention (known in Spanish as Reteiva): Tax calculated based on the VAT of the transaction.
- Accounts receivables: It is known as the debts owed by the merchant, as a result of the provision of our service. In other words, clients who receive minimum commission amounts, because they do not generate the expected revenue, will have the required amount to guarantee our payment deducted from their settlement.
- Chargebacks: When an online buyer communicates with their debit or credit card issuer bank, and the bank requests the payment gateway to reintegrate the sale transaction amount to the cardholder.
- Refunds: A captured transaction amount, but the cardholder has requested a partial or total refund.
- Voids: Action in which a successful card payment is voided. The total amount is refunded to the cardholder.
- Risk withholding: Amount withheld in accordance to the percentage and time established by the fraud area.
